ABOUT THE CITY...
Porto is the second largest urban area of Portugal. It's history dates back to pre-Roman times, it was occupied by the Moors and invaded by Napoleon’s forces. The city was famous for its wine production giving its name to the fortified wine. Visitors to Porto come to see the UNESCO-designated old city centre, sample the local gastronomic products, shop and immerse themselves in the city’s culture. when it comes to compare Porto to Lisbon, Porto turns out to be a conservative city. Luckly Portugal is a very liberal and welcoming place and Porto do not make exceptions.
